IGP Hails Promotion Of 26,122 Officers, Praises PSC For Strengthening Police Morale and Reforms
In a service where morale and merit shape performance on the streets, timely recognition can be a powerful driver of professionalism and public trust.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has congratulated 26,122 officers of the Nigeria Police Force recently promoted to various ranks, describing the advancement as well-deserved and reflective of dedication, professionalism and sustained national service.
He noted that the promotions recognise merit and performance, while placing greater responsibility on beneficiaries to uphold the highest standards of leadership, discipline and duty.
The IGP also commended the Police Service Commission for approving the Force leadership’s recommendations, praising the Commission’s commitment to merit-based progression, due process and institutional cooperation.
According to him, sustained synergy between the PSC and the Police is vital to boosting morale, strengthening competence and improving operational effectiveness nationwide.
Reaffirming the Force’s reform agenda, Egbetokun assured Nigerians of continued efforts to improve internal efficiency, deepen public trust and enhance collaboration with national and international partners to address evolving security challenges.
