Soludo Mourns Chief Of Staff’s Mother, Reflects On The Priceless Bond Of Motherhood

By Sunny A. David, Awka

The passing of a mother, no matter the age, leaves a void words can scarcely fill, a truth Governor Chukwuma Soludo reflected upon as he condoled with his Chief of Staff, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, over the death of his mother, Mrs Christians Ezeajughi, who passed on at the age of 93.

Governor Soludo spoke at the burial mass held at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Awgbu, describing the loss as deeply painful and noting that there is never a convenient time to lose a mother.

He, however, urged the family to find comfort in the fact that she lived a long, fulfilled life and was lovingly cared for until her final days.

In his homily, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, reminded the congregation of the transient nature of life, calling on Christians to live with eternity in focus and uphold values that endure beyond death.

Responding on behalf of the family, Mr Ezeajughi expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo and all those who stood by them during the period of mourning, pledging to sustain the virtues and legacy his mother left behind.

The burial mass attracted family members, friends, associates and well-wishers who gathered to pay their last respects to the late Mrs Ezeajughi.
