At a time when many young people are searching for meaning amid growing distractions, faith and fellowship took centre stage in Awada, in Anambra State as the Faithspiration Initiative wrapped up its 2025 year-end prayer meeting with a powerful display of worship and renewal.

Saints John and Paul Catholic Church, Awada, popularly known as Iba Pope, came alive with prayer, praise and testimonies as worshippers gathered for the spiritually charged programme, which many described as an encounter marked by healing, anointing and renewed faith.

Addressing the congregation, Rev. Fr. Jose Maria Onyechi praised the founder of the Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr George Adimike, for the vision behind the movement, while commending the strong participation of youths, adults, priests and seminarians.

He said their commitment during the Advent season had helped rekindle spiritual consciousness among Christians preparing for the birth of Jesus Christ. Fr. Onyechi also warned young people against the growing temptation of idol worship, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith.

Delivering the main exhortation, Rev. Fr. Jude Obidike described the Faithspiration Initiative as a vibrant tool for evangelisation, urging Christians to pursue holiness during Advent.

Speaking on the theme “Update Your Spiritual Software,” he encouraged believers to renew their relationship with Christ and make spiritual resolutions ahead of the new year.

Other priests, including Rev. Fr. Augustine Obi and Rev. Fr. Joshua Obiekezie, lauded the initiative for its impact on youth ministry and spiritual preparation for Christmas, describing it as a movement that continues to inspire lives beyond parish boundaries.

In his closing remarks, Fr. Adimike thanked all priests, religious leaders and faithful who supported the programme and announced the next Faithspiration gathering scheduled for 2 January 2026 at St.Joseph’s Catholic Church, Awka-Etiti.
