Widows Storm Abuja To Honour AMMC Boss Obuah At 63, Celebrate A Life Of Quiet Compassion

Members of the Peculiar Widows’ Forum on Tuesday travelled from Makurdi, Benue State, to Abuja to celebrate the 63rd birthday of the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah, in appreciation of his years of humanitarian support to the vulnerable.
Led by Regina Peter, the widows described Chief Obuah as a man who chose to “wipe away their tears” when many in authority looked away.
She said his kindness had turned him into a constant prayer point for the group, noting that his support cut across ethnic and state boundaries.
Secretary of the forum, Esther Dominic, echoed the sentiment, portraying the AMMC boss as a father figure with a deep passion for the less privileged.
She recalled how his interventions brought relief and hope to widows affected by hardship and insecurity, even though they had no direct ties to his home state.
The emotional tributes turned the low-key birthday gathering into a powerful moment of reflection on service and compassion. The widows prayed for divine favour upon him, expressing confidence that his good deeds would speak for him in greater ways ahead.
Visibly moved, Chief Obuah thanked the delegation for the honour, describing their visit as priceless. He reaffirmed his commitment to touching lives, stressing that even small acts of kindness, when shared widely, can make a lasting difference.
A businessman and philanthropist, Chief Obuah has combined public service with humanitarian outreach, championing urban development, environmental cleanliness and social support for vulnerable groups across the country.
