US Mission In Nigeria: Services Continue Despite Funding Lapse
The United States Mission in Nigeria has announced that its official X account, @USinNigeria, will not be updated regularly due to a lapse in appropriations in Washington.
In a statement, the Mission assured the public that scheduled passport and visa services, both within the United States and at U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad, will continue as the situation permits.
However, social media updates will be restricted to urgent safety and security information until full government operations resume.
The Mission urged Nigerians and travellers seeking details on consular services to visit travel.state.gov for accurate and up-to-date information.
