From Nigeria To Slovenia: Bameyi Daniel Joins ND Primorje In Landmark Move
Slovenian topflight side ND Primorje has pulled off a major signing with the capture of Nigeria’s former U-20 captain, Bameyi Daniel, a move the club believes will significantly bolster their domestic and European ambitions.
Head coach Milan Anđelković could hardly hide his excitement, hailing Bameyi as a proven leader with the pedigree to make an instant impact.
“I am very happy with this signing. Bameyi is a talented player who has shown his quality at the highest level with Nigeria’s U-20s.
I believe he will play an important role in lifting our performances both in the league and in Europe,” Anđelković said.
Club president Bojan Adžić echoed the optimism, describing the deal as a “step in the right direction” for Primorje.
“We are delighted to welcome Bameyi Daniel. His talent and leadership qualities are clear, and we look forward to building a successful journey with him here in Slovenia,” he said.
For Primorje, the deal sends a strong signal of intent as they seek to establish themselves among Slovenia’s elite.
Bameyi, who has also featured for Nigeria’s U-23s and the home-based Super Eagles, arrives with a growing reputation as one of his country’s most promising defenders and will be expected to bring that international experience to bear in Primorje’s campaign.
