Adejobi Elevated To DCP, Posted To Delta State Operations
The Nigeria Police Force has announced the promotion of Olumuyiwa Adejobi to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and his redeployment as DCP, Operations, Delta State Command.
Until now, Adejobi served as Force Public Relations Officer. Police authorities stressed that his elevation, approved by the Police Service Commission, is a routine progression and not the “controversial removal” earlier reported by some media outlets.
With a strong track record in public communication, operations, and community policing, Adejobi is expected to play a central role in tackling violent crimes and strengthening security in Delta State, a critical hotspot in Nigeria’s security landscape.
Senior officers at Force Headquarters described his posting as a strategic move that reflects the Force’s commitment to merit-based deployment of its finest personnel.
