Police, Army, DSS Seal Enugu Ahead Of NBA 2025 Conference
Enugu is on lockdown as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) 2025 Annual Conference kicks off, with the Police and other security agencies assuring lawyers, dignitaries, and residents of a safe and hitch-free event.
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, said after a high-level security meeting that a massive, intelligence-driven, and collaborative deployment of personnel and resources has been put in place across the state.
He urged participants and residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative, while reporting suspicious persons or objects through the Police Command’s Control Room on 08032003702, 08086671202, 112, 09134666668, or 09134448093.
The inter-agency meeting, held at the Police Headquarters, brought together top security chiefs, including Brigadier General Stephen Dogo of the Nigerian Army, DSS State Director Humphrey Ohikuare, NSCDC Commandant Willie Elijah Etim, FRSC Sector Commander Franklin Agbakoba, and NDLEA State Commander Abel Wadahi.
Also present were the Controllers of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, representatives of the Navy, Customs, and EFCC, all reaffirming a united front to guarantee security throughout the conference.
