FG Applauds Ebonyi’s Civil Service Rewards, Pledges Continued Development Collaboration
The Federal Government has hailed Ebonyi State’s innovative initiative to reward excellence in public service, calling it a model for responsive governance.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made the commendation in Abakaliki while leading a high-powered delegation to assess how federal–state collaboration is improving lives.
He praised the state’s prudent use of funds saved from fuel subsidy removal to deliver tangible projects that citizens value.
Governor Francis Nwifuru showcased the newly completed Civil Servant Reward Estate the first of its kind in South East Nigeria where outstanding teachers, civil servants, and achievers, including a young Afro-basketball star, were given fully built houses free of charge.
“When people serve with dedication, they deserve recognition and reward,” the Governor said.
