Uzodimma: Education, Digital Economy Are The Twin Engines Of Nigeria’s Progressive Future

Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Senator Hope Uzodimma, has highlighted education and digital innovation as the driving forces behind Nigeria’s forward momentum under progressive governance.

Reflecting on the journey of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its vision for the future, Uzodimma stressed that education and the digital economy are not just priorities — they are essential tools for transformation.

“If progressive policies are the engine of change, then education and the digital economy represent the fuel that will drive Nigeria into the future,” he said.

Speaking on a decade of reforms, the governor noted that the administration recognised early on the need to equip the next generation not just with access to education but also with the digital skills and infrastructure needed to compete globally.

“Nigeria has embarked on reforms to rejuvenate its education system and become a hub in Africa’s burgeoning digital economy,” Uzodimma stated, adding that the APC’s vision rests firmly on “human capital development and digital innovation” as pillars of sustainable growth.

His remarks come at a time when the country is expanding its investment in ICT, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial training, signalling a long-term strategy to empower youth and reposition Nigeria in the global economy.
