NAF Strikes Terrorists Hard In Tumbuktu Triangle, Destroys IED Factory, Gun Trucks
In a major push against terrorism, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has dealt a decisive blow to insurgents operating in Borno State.
Acting on credible intelligence, NAF jets under Operation HADIN KAI launched a precision airstrike on 18 June 2025 in Kwaltiri, deep within the notorious Tumbuktu Triangle.
The operation led to the destruction of an improvised explosive device (IED) factory and several terrorist gun trucks, with dozens of fighters reportedly neutralised. Surveillance had earlier confirmed suspicious activity in the area, prompting the targeted strike that dismantled key enemy infrastructure.
NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, described the attack as a significant setback for the terrorists. “The successful strike not only disrupted their logistics and command chains, but also dealt a heavy blow to their morale and fighting strength,” he said.
This latest action reaffirms NAF’s unwavering commitment to degrading terrorist capabilities and restoring peace across Nigeria’s North East.
