Troops Take Out Notorious Terrorists In Zamfara, Deal Major Blow To Bandit Networks
In a major breakthrough for security forces, troops of Operation FASAN YAMMA have successfully eliminated several high-profile terrorists during a daring offensive in Ƙunchin Kalgo, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The operation, which took place on 10 June 2025, saw the death of the dreaded terrorist Auta and his close allies, Abdul Jamilu and Salisu—figures long linked to a spate of violence and insecurity in the region. Their elimination marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to restore peace in Zamfara.
Military sources also confirmed the killing of two other notorious kingpins, including one identified as Babayé. In a separate but related development, Sale Ado Madele—son of notorious bandit leader Ado Alieru—was reportedly neutralised.
Further action was taken in Danjibga, where troops intercepted and killed ten terrorists believed to be part of a planned attack orchestrated by Dogo Sule. The group had gathered near a local filling station before being taken out by security operatives.
According to the Nigerian Armed Forces, these coordinated strikes reflect a renewed commitment to rooting out terrorist elements and safeguarding communities across Zamfara and the wider North-West.
“This is a clear message to criminal elements that their days are numbered,” said Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations.
