FG Mourns Mokwa Flood Victims, Rallies Swift Relief Response
The Federal Government has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating flood that struck Mokwa in Niger State, claiming several lives, submerging homes, and displacing hundreds of families.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, in aa message said, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been fully briefed on the incident and has instructed all relevant emergency and security agencies to scale up ongoing search and rescue operations.
According to the Minister, the Federal Government’s immediate priority remains the safeguarding of lives and the provision of urgent relief to survivors saying that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in partnership with the Nigerian Armed Forces and the Niger State Government, is working tirelessly to ensure that assistance reaches those in need without delay.
He commended the bravery and selflessness of first responders and volunteers, who risked their lives to save others. Their dedication is a testament to the resilience and spirit of service that define our nation.
The Ministet urged residents in the affected areas to cooperate fully with emergency personnel and adhere strictly to evacuation orders and safety advisories.
