NIPR Re-elects Dr Ike Neliaku As President
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has re-elected Dr Ike Neliaku as the President and Chairman of Council for a fresh two-year term.
His re-election took place on Thursday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, during the ongoing 2nd Nigeria Public Relations Week.
Dr Neliaku was first elected into the Governing Council by members and subsequently returned as President by the Institute’s Electoral College.
Alongside him, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura was re-elected as Vice President, with 15 other Council Members emerging from across the country to serve the Institute.
Among the re-elected and newly elected Council Members are Mr Akin Agbejule (Niger), Mrs Olubunmi Badejo (FCT), Professor Kate Omenugha (Anambra), Mallam Bashir Chedi (Kaduna), Dr Saudat Abdulbaqi (Kwara), and Comrade Ini Ememobong Essien (Akwa Ibom).
Others include Mallam Kabir Ali Kobi (Bauchi), Pastor Paulinus Nsirim (Rivers), Professor Sarah Lwahas (Plateau), Mr Adaramola Temitope (Ogun), Dr Adewale Oyekanmi (Osun), Chief Patrick Ogoegbunem Uka (Delta), Sajoh Ahmad Ibrahim (Adamawa), Comfort Nwankwo, and Olusegun McMedal (Lagos).
The re-election is seen as a vote of confidence in Dr Neliaku’s leadership as the Institute continues to advance professionalism in public relations across Nigeria.
