Nigeria Police Force Triumphs At 6th OSOM Games With Stunning Medal Haul

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has clinched overall victory at the 6th edition of the One Service One Medal (OSOM) Games, showcasing dominance and athletic brilliance in Abuja from 23rd to 29th April 2025.

Competing against 11 other security agencies in 15 sporting events, the NPF emerged tops with an impressive 114 medals made up of 42 Gold, 38 Silver, and 34 Bronze under the leadership of Force Director of Sports, DCP Osifo T. Emefile.

Star of the tournament, Police swimmer Corporal Oka Dorcas Eworo, earned the prestigious MVP title after bagging 9 Gold and 1 Silver medal, sealing her place among Nigeria’s top sporting talents.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, lauded the team’s performance, affirming the Force’s dedication to sports development and celebrating a legacy that includes legends like DCP (Rtd) Chioma Ajunwa and the late SP Sunday Bada.

The OSOM Games, a National Sports Commission’s initiative, is aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s Olympic prospects while fostering unity and excellence among the country’s uniformed services.
