NAF Launches Open Day Nationwide Ahead Of 61st Anniversary
In a bid to strengthen ties with the public, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched a nationwide Open Day event as a curtain-raiser to its 61st anniversary celebrations.
The initiative, running from May 1 to 15, 2025, and themed “Come See Your Air Force,” invites Nigerians to visit NAF bases across the country including in Kaduna, Enugu, Ikeja, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kano, and more to get a firsthand look at the Force’s operations, aircraft, and personnel.
Visitors will enjoy guided tours, aircraft displays, exhibitions, and interactive sessions with NAF officers.
Schools will also benefit from outreach activities, including inspiring career talks for students.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, described the event as “a reflection of our commitment to transparency, national unity, and pride in service.”
The Open Day sets the stage for the official anniversary events slated for May 13–20, as NAF continues to build public trust and foster national pride.
