FRSC Gets Leadership Boost As SGF Approves Appointment Of 3 Deputy Corps Marshals
In a move aimed at strengthening the leadership structure of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has approved the elevation of three Assistant Corps Marshals to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM).
The new Deputy Corps Marshals are Aliyu Datsama, Pauline Olaye, and Attahiru T. Hassan and they will represent the North West, South South, and North East geopolitical zones respectively.
Their appointments come as part of efforts to fill existing vacancies and inject fresh momentum into the Corps’ leadership.
DCM Datsama, a seasoned safety administrator, has overseen Special Duties and External Relations, while DCM Pauline Olaye, now the most senior female officer in the Corps, heads the Project Implementation Office at FRSC Headquarters.
DCM Hassan, known for his strong administrative background, currently leads the Technical Services Department.
Speaking on the appointments, the SGF described the trio as “seasoned professionals” who bring expertise and renewed energy to the Corps’ leadership team, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to reward excellence under the New Hope Agenda.
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed congratulated the new appointees, urging them to embrace the increased responsibility with dedication and passion.
He also assured personnel of improved welfare while encouraging others to remain steadfast and loyal to the Corps.
