Killaboi Extradited To Nigeria Over Murder Of 21-Year-Old Student

After months on the run, fugitive Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, alias Killaboi, has been extradited to Nigeria from Doha, Qatar, to face murder charges over the death of 21-year-old Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe.
The suspect, who allegedly killed the Lead City University first-class student at his Lagos residence in July 2023, was tracked through multiple countries under fake identities before his arrest in Qatar earlier this year.
His extradition was finalised in the early hours of Saturday, April 19, 2025.
The Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with INTERPOL, the Federal Ministry of Justice, and Qatar authorities, secured the extradition after an INTERPOL Red Notice and months of international intelligence efforts.
Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the cooperation of all partners involved and assured the public that Killaboi will face full prosecution, reaffirming the NPF’s commitment to justice and transnational crime control.
