CDS General Musa Salutes Troops, Calls for Renewed Commitment In Easter Message
As Christians across Nigeria celebrate Easter, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has extended warm wishes to military personnel and their families, both at home and on duty.
In a heartfelt message, General Musa described Easter as a time of reflection, sacrifice, and hope — values that mirror the daily lives of men and women in the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN).
He praised their unwavering courage and loyalty, saying they are the bedrock of national unity and security.
While honouring fallen heroes and praying for the recovery of wounded soldiers, the Defence Chief urged troops to renew their commitment to duty and discipline.
He expressed pride in their resilience and confidence in their ability to overcome Nigeria’s security challenges.
General Musa also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support towards building a safer and more prosperous nation.
The Easter message, signed by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Director of Defence Information, was released on April 17, 2025.
