“Your Sacrifices Are Etched in History” — Air Chief Hails Troops In Maiduguri
In a show of solidarity, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has paid tribute to Nigerian Air Force personnel battling insurgency in the North-East, declaring that their sacrifices are forever etched in the nation’s history.
During a morale-boosting visit to the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri, Borno State, Air Marshal Abubakar praised the troops for their courage and unyielding commitment in the fight against terrorism.
“Your sacrifices are etched in the history of this nation, and in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who sleep safer because of your vigilance,” he said while addressing frontline personnel.
The CAS engaged directly with officers and airmen, commending their role in recent operational successes and reaffirming the Air Force’s resolve to sustain aerial dominance through continued investment in modern warfare technologies.
Briefings from field commanders highlighted the strategic impact of precision air strikes and air support in dismantling terrorist threats, with the CAS assuring that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to provide the tools and training needed for mission success.
His visit, alongside senior NAF officers, served as a powerful reminder of the human cost of national security and the enduring appreciation of a grateful nation.
