Federal High Court Judges Begin Easter Vacation April 16

Judges of the Federal High Court will begin their two-week Easter vacation on Wednesday, April 16, and resume on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, said the Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt divisions will remain open for urgent matters during the break.

These include cases on fundamental rights, vessel arrests or releases, and those of national importance.

Vacation judges have been assigned as follows:

Abuja: Justices Emeka Nwite and Musa Sulaiman Liman

Lagos: Justices Akintayo Aluko and Isaac I. Dipeolu

Port Harcourt: Justices Phoebe M. Ayua and Adamu T. Mohammed

The Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, urged judges to refer pressing matters to his office and wished all a joyful Easter in advance.
