Jaymoni Partners with NUJ FCT to Boost Music and Entertainment Industry

Fast-rising Nigerian artist and entrepreneur, Amb. Christopher Ogar, popularly known as Jaymoni, is joining forces with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council to elevate the country’s music and entertainment scene.

During a courtesy visit to the NUJ FCT Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, Jaymoni—who doubles as the CEO of Jaytech Group of Companies—was warmly received by the NUJ FCT Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, and Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle.

The artist behind the hit track “Congratulations” used the occasion to celebrate Comrade Ike’s historic emergence as the first female Chairperson in the council’s 41-year history. He also expressed his interest in building strong media partnerships to empower and promote emerging talents across Nigeria.

Jaymoni, who co-owns the Wayward brand, revealed exciting updates about his creative journey, including the release of his second single for the year, “Where The Money Dey (WTMD),” dropping on Friday, April 11, 2025, on all streaming platforms. He also announced that his philanthropic initiative, the Feed The Street Programme, will take place in Lagos on the same day.

Comrade Ike, visibly impressed by Jaymoni’s passion and humility, commended his music, social impact, and business acumen. She expressed the council’s willingness to collaborate on initiatives that blend entertainment with societal development.

“Music is a powerful tool, and your energy is contagious. We at NUJ FCT are excited to work with someone who not only entertains but also gives back to the community,” Ike said. “Stay focused and grounded—you’re on the right track.”
