SWAN Felicitates With Muslims On Eid-el-Fitr, Calls For Unity And Peace
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Muslims across the country on the successful completion of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement on Sunday, SWAN President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, through the Association’s Secretary-General, Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, emphasised the importance of sustaining the values of love, kindness, and devotion beyond the holy month.
“Islam is known for peace and harmony. As we celebrate, let’s continue to be our brother’s keepers and uphold the virtues of kindness and unity exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W),” he said.
Benjamin wished Muslim faithful, especially those in the sporting community, a season filled with joy, prosperity, and new opportunities.
He reaffirmed SWAN’s commitment to promoting excellence in sports journalism while fostering peace and national unity.
