In Times Of Crisis, Every Drop Counts. Donate Blood To Save Lives DG Urges

The true strength of a community is measured by how swiftly it comes together to save lives in the aftermath of disasters.
The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) is sounding an urgent alarm following yesterday’s tragic vehicle explosion along the Keffi-Kugbo road in Abuja which has left many fighting for survival.
The agency is calling on all Nigerians especially those living in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to step forward and donate blood.
A statement signed by the Director General, National Blood Service Agency, Prof Saleh Yuguda, says hospitals treating the victims are in dire need of immediate blood transfusions as medical teams work around the clock to stabilize the wounded.
“This is a critical moment where your selfless act could mean life for someone else,” the NBSA said in the statement.
He urged donors to visit any of the designated centers across the FCT or head directly to the NBSA headquarters at 39 Abidjan Street, Wuse Zone, Abuja as their courage and compassion can save lives in these trying times.
