The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has dealt a severe blow to Boko Haram terrorists, decimating a major command hub deep within the Mandara Mountains in a daring and precise night operation.
Acting on solid intelligence, the NAF targeted key hideouts in Chikide and Degbewa, where notorious Boko Haram leader, Ali Ngulde, and his fighters were believed to be holding a high-level meeting.
The night airstrike caught the insurgents off-guard, destroying heavily fortified structures and solar-powered facilities identified as a key command centre.
The strike ignited massive fires, wiping out logistics and eliminating scores of terrorists, significantly weakening Boko Haram’s operations in the region.
The success of this mission underscores the NAF’s growing capability to dominate both day and night battles, ensuring that terrorists can no longer find refuge under the cover of darkness.
The Nigerian military has vowed to continue its offensive until lasting peace is restored across the northeast.
