In an era where African unity is more crucial than ever, Nigeria has once again reaffirmed its commitment to regional solidarity by congratulating The Gambia on its Independence Anniversary.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, extended warm felicitations to his Gambian counterpart, Dr. Mamadou Tangara, recognising the West African nation’s resilience and progress over the years.

Nigeria emphasised its dedication to strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering cooperation in areas of mutual interest and highlighted the deep-rooted ties between both nations.

A statement signed by the Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi, notes that Nigeria pledged continued friendship, support, and collaboration on regional and global issues for the advancement of Africa as The Gambia marks this historic milestone.

With shared values and a common vision for prosperity, this message of goodwill further cements the enduring partnership between the two countries.
