NAF Assures Public as Warri Altercation with Police is Resolved

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has swiftly addressed an altercation between its personnel and police officers in Warri, Delta State, on February 11, 2025.
A video of the incident circulating online had raised concerns, prompting NAF to take immediate action.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, the NAF unit commander has engaged with the Delta State Police authorities to enhance inter-agency understanding.
Injured police officers have received medical care, while involved NAF personnel are undergoing disciplinary procedures.
Reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, the NAF emphasised fostering harmonious relationships with sister agencies to uphold national security.
The force assured the public that measures are in place to prevent future occurrences and appreciates ongoing support and understanding.
