SWAN, Naija Disruptors LLC Forge Alliance to Elevate Nigerian Sports Media

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has partnered with Naija Disruptors LLC in a strategic move to transform Nigeria’s sports media landscape, empower youth, and amplify local sports narratives on a global scale.
During the MoU signing at SWAN’s National Secretariat in Abuja, SWAN President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, represented by Secretary-General Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, stressed the collaboration’s role in strengthening sports reportage and fostering development.
“This collaboration signifies SWAN’s commitment to elevating Nigerian sports and showcasing our immense talent to the world,” he said.
Founder and CEO of Naija Disruptors LLC, Chuka Erike, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting plans to spotlight Nigerian sports history, promote innovative projects like flag football, and leverage global networks for broader reach.
A key aspect of the alliance includes co-developing SWAN’s 60th-anniversary projects, such as a documentary on 60 Nigerian sports legends and an editorial series on six decades of sports history.
Naija Disruptors will also use its international platform to enhance SWAN’s visibility and facilitate global partnerships.
With a shared vision of sports as a tool for storytelling and development, the partnership is poised to open new opportunities for Nigerian sports on the world stage.
