The United Nations has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young Nigerians and ensuring their voices are heard in national and global discussions.

Speaking at the Youth Action Event tagged “The Youths Are Here” at the CBN Headquarters in Abuja, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Fall, emphasised the need for greater investment in youth-led solutions.

Represented by the Youth Focal Person at the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, Mr. Muhammed Yusuf, Fall urged policymakers and partners to create opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation’s development.

“Let us deepen our investment in youth-led solutions. Let us create pathways for every young Nigerian to contribute meaningfully to their community and country,” he stated.

The event served as a platform to debrief Nigerian youths on the Pact for the Future, reinforcing the UN’s dedication to fostering youth engagement in decision-making and development initiatives.
