Oso- 4- Oso Celebrates 80th Birthday In Grand Style

It was clearly a celebration of God’s grace upon the life of Sir Leo Okereke( Oso- 4 -Oso) last Sunday, January 26 as family members, friends and associates from different walks of life across the nation gathered to join him in celebrating his 80th birthday which he humbly described as a manifestation of God’s grace upon his life.

The event which started with a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Cross Pro Cathedral Ikenegbu continued at his residence in Owerri where political leaders, organizations and individuals of high standing in the society trooped out to honour the octogenarian who has impacted positively upon many lives.

 

Among groups present were the members of the Knight of St. John International led by their national supreme leader. Others are Ogbako Ideato , Legacy club of Arondizuogu, Standard club, Owerri Sports club and others, of which, Sir Leo Okereke is either the current president or former President.

Sir Okereke who was a former national President of Nigeria Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), was also the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the 2023 Imo Governorship elections and the Governorship candidate of YPP, Dr. Kemdi Opara was also present to honour and celebrate with his friend.
Prominent among the groups was the Owerri Sports club led by their president, Comrade Uchenna Nwokeji. The CEO of ABC transport company, Mr. Frank Nneji, as well as Chief Vitals Ajumbe, among other high profile friends and associates of Sir Okereke were also present.

Speaking to newsmen after the event, Sir Leo Okereke who was obviously overwhelmed by the galaxy of people that came to join him in celebrating God’s grace upon his life, described it as a manifestation of God’s presence and grace. He said he was “baffled ‘ by what happened at the birthday celebration.
Sir Okereke advised people to always appreciate God for all things, especially after blessing them with another year of life.
On the secret of his long life and physical health, Sir Okereke stressed that it was God’s grace and discipline and having clean hands. He maintained that one must have discipline in other to serve God.

He also advised younger ones to embrace God, saying that any success without God was only a time bomb that could explode anytime.
Sir Leo Okereke is an Engineer of national repute, a prominent member of the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), former President of Owerri Sports club, former President of Ogbako Ideato, former state Chairman of Progressive peoples Alliance (PPA), a business leader of repute and a builder and mentor of several people.
