City Boy Movement May Take Legal Action Against Nwaokorie, Other Impostors – Southeast Leaders

The Southeast leaders of the City Boy Movement have warned Impostors to stay off its legal leadership composition

The movement particularly disowned creation of any by an alleged impostor Engr. Nwaokorie.

The Movement in a statement by its Southeast Secretary, Prof Ogwo I.K Ikogwo on Monday, 27th of January condemned the action of the faction for falsely claiming positions as “Zonal Leaders”.

The Movement while threatening to institute legal action against imposters, noted that the group’s conduct is not only dishonouring but also betraying the very principles of integrity and loyalty upon which the organization was founded.

The statement reads: “The leadership of the City Boy Movement, Southeast Zone wishes to unequivocally denounce and expose a nefarious group of rogue elements whose actions threaten the unity and sanctity of our esteemed movement.

“The Leaders of the Southeast zonal City Boy Movement, after a meeting finds itself compelled to issue a public and unequivocal repudiation of the fraudulent and misguided actions of a group led by one Engr. Nwaokorie claiming and issuing statements with his name signed as South East Zonal coordinator. They have taken it upon themselves to form a deceptive WhatsApp group and falsely claim positions as so-called “Zonal Leaders.” Their conduct reeks of dishonor, betraying the very principles of integrity and loyalty upon which this organization was founded.

“Let it be known that these schemers are no more than political vultures—bereft of principles and propelled by insidious ambitions to undermine the collective will of our members. In our opinion this action is the height of moral bankruptcy.

“This sordid episode is not just an affront to our organization but also to the principles of loyalty and selfless service that we have worked so hard to foster and uphold. Engr. Nwaokorie and his coconspirators are engaged in nothing more than a blatant attempt to seize control of a structure we have built from the ground up—an initiative funded by our own time, effort, and resources. Their actions are a direct attempt to undermine the values that define the City Boy Movement and to mislead the public by claiming authority they have neither earned nor are entitled to.

“To those orchestrating this perfidious agenda: You are nothing but shameless charlatans and saboteurs whose antics will not only fail but will also expose you as the derelicts of decency you truly are. Your malevolent intent to tarnish the legacy of this movement will be met with the full resistance of our united membership.

“As the custodians of this movement’s integrity, we have resolved as follows:

Unequivocal Loyalty to Leadership: The City Boy Movement remains steadfastly loyal to its established leadership and structure. Any attempt to impose an illegitimate faction will be treated as an affront to the collective will of our members.

“Legal Action Against Impostors: We shall not hesitate to invoke the full weight of the law. This includes taking legal actions and reporting these individuals to the appropriate authorities, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Department of State Services (DSS), and the Inspector General of Police (IG).

“Unified Stand of Southeast Leaders: As zonal leaders we stand united, and any attempt to destabilize the movement in the Southeast will not be accepted.

“As leaders we were compelled to issue a press release, as our repeated attempts to resolve this matter amicably by reaching out to the Director-General of the movement have been met with silence. Despite our formal complaints and requests for intervention, the Director-General has chosen to ignore our concerns, even to the extent of blocking communication and ceasing to respond to our calls or messages. This lack of accountability from the highest echelons of leadership is deeply troubling and speaks volumes about the failure of leadership within the structure.

“To Engr. Nwaokorie and his band of opportunistic characters: we warn you unequivocally—stay away from the Southeast Zonal City Boy Movement. Your charade will not succeed. The structure we have created is one built on sweat, sacrifice, and unyielding commitment. We will not allow it to be hijacked by renegades whose only interest is self-serving political maneuvering.

“As loyal members, we have no choice but to escalate this matter to the attention of our esteemed Grand Patron, Seyi Tinubu. We know he is a lover of peace and Justice, under his guidance and leadership, the truth will prevail and the efforts of those who seek to disrupt the unity and mission of our movement will be thwarted. Our resolve is firm: we will resist any attempt by these usurpers to hijack the fruits of our labor, and we will not allow anyone to desecrate the movement we have worked tirelessly to build.

“The City Boy Movement is a beacon of hope, a platform for progress, and a symbol of unity. To the enemies of this noble cause, hear us loud and clear: your machinations will crumble under the weight of our collective resolve. We remain unshaken, undeterred, and committed to the ideals that bind us together.”
