Owerri Zone Should Form A Formidable Force To Make Political Statement in Imo Politics – EGU

A renounced political stakeholders and an elder statesman in owerri, has urged owerri Zone politicians to think outside the box before they can make any political headway in the state,
Rt Hon Greg Egu made this disclosure in his Umuohiaguin Ngor Okpala Palace home when journalists from Ngor Okpala extraction paid him courtesy visit recently.
Speaking further.the elder statesman revealed that the reasons owerri Zone has not produced governor in the state is because of what he refer as political sabotage that is very imminent in the zone,he said that the level of political backbiting and pull him down syndrome has done more harm than good in owerri Zone.He said that the animosity and hatred seen in owerri Zone is not the same with their counterpart in orlu and Oliver zone .Going down memory lane in the political history of imo state,, Chief Egu emphasized that owerri Zone has been an excrement of the state because they are easily deceived with material things.He maintained that all the relevant political stakeholders should eschew politics of bitterness and rancour and come together as one.He said that that the politics of the state will continue to elude the zone if they don’t realise themselves and correct their mistakes.
Chief Egu emphasised the need for fresh political awareness in the zone especially as 2027 general election is around the corner.He said that owerri Zone has to regroup across all political party lines,Speaking further.
Rt Hon Egu hinted that owerri Zone has all it takes to control the politics of imo state but that a lot of work has to be done to achieve that.He warned those he refer as political jobbers in owerri Zone to desist from their deceitful political disposition and allow genuine politicians ln the zone to continue to fight genuine political course in the zone.
