“We Have Arrested 700 Criminals, Rescued Over 300 Kidnapped Victims This Month Alone ” – Nigeria Police Reels Out Achievements

The Nigeria Police Force has recorded remarkable strides in its ongoing fight against crime, showcasing its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
At a press briefing at the IRT Headquarters in Guzape, FCT, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi gave details of the Force’s achievements since the beginning of 2025, which include the arrest of over 700 criminal suspects and the recovery of 73 firearms, 310 rounds of ammunition, and 56 stolen vehicles.
He said, 302 kidnapped victims have been rescued.
The parade featured 13 suspects and a haul of weapons, forged documents, and illegal drugs.
Among the cases highlighted was the arrest of two fraudsters in Ogun State who embezzled ₦300 million from their employers to fuel gambling addictions.
Another was the capture of an ex-convict turned armed robber terrorising highways in Kaduna State.
A gang of fake military officers was also exposed, swindling victims with fake bank alerts, and a notorious armed robbery syndicate responsible for stealing motorcycles from farmers in Lagos and Ogun States was apprehended.
Meanwhile, a drug dealer was caught with hard drugs valued at ₦3.2 million, allegedly sent from Canada by an accomplice.
In a case linked to crude oil theft, two suspects were arrested for forging weighbills to help criminals evade security checks.
The police reaffirmed their dedication to justice and maintaining peace across Nigeria.
Investigations are ongoing in all cases to apprehend accomplices and bring them to justice.
