The team, led by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, was dispatched by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, to investigate reports of civilian casualties during a recent NAF airstrike in Tungar Kara on January 11.

The fact-finding team proceeded to Tungar Kara for an on-site assessment, with findings set to inform measures to safeguard civilians and enhance operational effectiveness in counter-banditry missions.
The investigation underscores the NAF’s dedication to protecting lives while combating insecurity in the North West.
