IGP Launches New Year Strategic Action Plan To Combat Crime Nationwide

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has set the tone for a safer 2025 by directing police commands and formations nationwide to adopt a New Year Strategic Action Plan aimed at reducing crime and improving the efficiency of law enforcement.
This initiative which showcases proactive policing, intelligence-led strategies, and strengthened community relations, will focus on professionalism and integrity, as officers are tasked on tackling crime using data-driven approaches, capacity-building programmes, and public awareness campaigns.
The IGP will meet with Strategic Commanders virtually on January 13, 2025, to ensure the seamless implementation of these measures, underscoring the force’s commitment to evolving public safety challenges.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi indicates the move signals a robust start to the year, with law enforcement poised to enhance security across Nigeria.
