IGP Egbetokun Arrives Enugu, Reaffirms Commitment To Security, Collaboration

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, has commenced a two-day official visit to Enugu State to bolster security and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders.

The IGP who arrived on January 3, 2025, was accompanied by top-ranking officers, including DIG Frank Mba and AIG Godwin Aghaulor on a courtesy visit to Governor Peter Mbah.

There, the IGP outlined strategic plans to enhance the state’s security architecture.

He also met with the Enugu Council of Traditional Rulers, led by HRM Igwe Samuel Asabo, emphasising the vital role of traditional institutions in community policing.

Addressing officers, the IGP stressed discipline, professionalism, and empathy in law enforcement, urging the police to prioritise public trust and safety.

The visit underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to proactive crime prevention, peace, and development in Enugu State and the South-East region as a whole.
