The Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has intensified its crackdown on criminal elements nationwide, achieving notable successes in recent operations.

In Borno State, police operatives foiled a terrorist attack on the Jakana Divisional Headquarters on November 28, 2024, fiercely resisting the assailants, leaving many wounded. One officer sustained injuries and is recovering.

In Sokoto, a joint raid on November 25 targeted bandit camps, recovering AK-47 rifles and ammunition. While the criminals fled, efforts to apprehend them continue.

Meanwhile, Delta State police thwarted a kidnapping attempt in Asaba on November 28. Following a gunfight, the suspects abandoned their vehicle, leading to the recovery of firearms, including AK-47s, pump-action rifles, and ammunition.

Commending the officers’ courage, IGP Egbetokun urged them to remain resolute in safeguarding lives and property across Nigeria.
