DICAN Commits To Supporting Government’s Foreign Policies

The Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria, DICAN, has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of its readiness to assist propagate his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda’s foreign policy direction and reforms inline with the nation’s foreign policy direction anchored on democracy, developments, demography and diaspora, 4D, through patriotic and quality reportage.
The Association which in a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Idehai Frederick, and made available to newsmen commended the leadership style of the Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu since his assumption of the Chairmanship position of the Authority of Heads of States of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS.
Comrade Idehai, said President Tinubu brought his vast experience to bare by consolidating the gains as well as raising the bar on regional integration, entrenchment of democratic values, good governance stability and peace.
The DICAN Chairman, who appreciated Nigeria’s President for the fatherly role he is playing towards unifying the regional bloc in tandem with the dreams of its founding fathers urged him to adopt every diplomatic means possible in persuading Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger to return to ECOWAS after their threat to abandon the regional body for a new group, Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
