I remain the authentic chairman of Imo NAPPS – Chief Mbakwe

By Reginald Oloko

The chairman of Imo state wing of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Chief Theo Mbakwe, has restated the authenticity of his leadership allegedly describing one Mrs Nkeiruka Happiness Uhuegbu as an impostor.

Chief Mbakwe made the disclosure in his office in Owerri while briefing newsmen on the present crisis rocking the association at the national. He explained that early this year the association’s constitution was amended with nod of majority of Board of Trustee members to accommodate the right of executive officers to run for second term in office.

Based on the constitution amendments he ran and won a second mandate to chair imo wing of NAPPS. Since then one Mrs Orikeze one of BOT members from Southeast has been going around the states in the Southeast conducting illegal elections without minding whether the elections we’re meeting up the constitutional requirements of the association.

In his words ,”For instance the constitution qualifies only those who had handled posts at the local government level to be elected into the chairmanship position. But Mrs Nkeiruka Happiness Uhuegbu the so called elected chairman never handled any posts at the local government level.

“Anyway with time everything will be dawned on them that the association has only one authentic chairman which is me. Then we will welcome them back because we are one. But for now let them continue with whatever association they are running there but not NAPPS.

Finally he called on the public to disregard Mrs Uhuegbu faction describing it as an illegality that can’t stand.
