Pope Francis has named Bishop Lucius Ugorji the new Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province and also retained his position ast he Apostolic administrator for Ahiara Diocese
According to the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Antonio Filipazzi who made the announcement on behalf of Pope Francis, at the ongoing Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria in Abuja, Bishop Ugorji, takes over after the retirement of Archbishop Obinna
