FRSC Mourns Ogun State Commander Ogunjobi After Another Loss

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been plunged into mourning following the death of its Ogun State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, coming shortly after the death of former Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, described Ogunjobi’s death as another painful loss to the organisation, expressing condolences to the deceased’s family, officers and marshals of the Ogun State Sector Command.

In a statement issued on Sunday, 18 October 2026, Mohammed said the successive deaths had deepened the grief within the FRSC family.

He said the loss went beyond the death of an officer, noting that members of the Corps were united by shared sacrifices and a common commitment to saving lives on Nigerian roads.

“There are moments when words become inadequate to express the depth of our grief. This is one of such moments for the Federal Road Safety Corps,” the Corps Marshal said.

He urged officers and marshals, particularly those in Ogun State, to remain united and draw strength from their shared commitment to public service during the difficult period.

Mohammed also prayed for the peaceful repose of Ogunjobi’s soul, asking God to comfort his immediate family and give the entire FRSC workforce the strength to bear the loss.

He said although death might end a life, it could not erase the memories, relationships and contributions of someone who had dedicated himself to service.

The statement was signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.
