SWAN Hails Shehu Dikko’s Reforms, Vision For Nigerian Sports
As Nigeria pushes for a stronger and more competitive sports sector, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has praised the leadership and reform efforts of National Sports Commission Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, on his birthday.
In a congratulatory message on Saturday, SWAN President Isaiah Benjamin described Dikko’s commitment to innovation, transparency, athlete welfare and youth development as crucial to repositioning Nigerian sports.
The message, conveyed through SWAN Secretary-General Ikenna Okonkwo, also commended Dikko for strengthening collaboration between the National Sports Commission and sports journalists.
SWAN assured the NSC Chairman that the sporting media would continue to perform its watchdog role and support efforts aimed at advancing sports development in Nigeria.
The association wished Dikko good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments in his service to the nation.
