FG To Nigerians At Christmas: Your Resilience Will Not Be In Vain

As millions of Nigerians gather to celebrate Christmas amid economic and security challenges, the Federal Government has struck a reassuring tone, acknowledging the sacrifices of citizens and urging renewed hope, unity and compassion.

In a Christmas goodwill message, signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the Federal Government felicitated with Christian faithful across the country, describing the season as one defined by love, sacrifice and hope, values it said are crucial to national cohesion, especially in difficult times.

The government assured Nigerians that their patience, resilience, and hard work would not be taken for granted, stressing that the efforts of citizens would ultimately yield positive results.

It reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for all.

While encouraging celebrations, the government urged Nigerians to remember those facing hardship, families affected by acts of terror, and to keep security personnel in their thoughts and prayers, commending them for their continued defence of lives, property and the nation.

The message also called on Nigerians to use the Christmas season to promote peace, kindness and unity within their homes and communities, while wishing the country a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
