TCN, NISO Deepen Partnership To Strengthen Nigeria’s Power Grid
As Nigeria advances electricity sector reforms, stronger collaboration between key power institutions is emerging as a critical driver of a more stable and efficient national grid.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Kano Region has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening operational cooperation with the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) during a courtesy visit by NISO Managing Director, Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello.
Receiving the delegation, the General Manager (Transmission), TCN Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, praised NISO for its consistent support and prompt response whenever operational assistance was required.
He assured the agency of TCN’s continued partnership in achieving the objectives of Nigeria’s electricity market reforms.
In his remarks, the NISO Managing Director commended TCN for formally handing over the former Kano Regional Office to NISO, describing the gesture as a major milestone in the relationship between both organisations.
He stressed that sustained collaboration between system operations and transmission infrastructure remains vital to safeguarding grid stability, improving power system operations and delivering more reliable electricity supply across the country.
