RATTAWU Recognition Inspires Greater Service To Humanity, Says Archbishop Nzekwesi

Recognition of humanitarian service remains a powerful tool for inspiring positive change and encouraging leaders to do more for society, Archbishop Dr Onyeka Joseph Nzekwesi (Chinakaribeya) has said.

The cleric and Chief Executive Officer of Pineleaf Estate and Properties Limited made the remark while receiving the President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) of Nigeria, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, and other union members during a courtesy visit.

Archbishop Nzekwesi expressed gratitude to RATTAWU for recognising his contributions to God, humanity and national development, describing the gesture as a motivation for individuals committed to philanthropy and community service.

He particularly commended the leadership of Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu for enhancing the visibility and relevance of the union through strategic engagement, partnerships and the recognition of outstanding contributors to society.

According to the Archbishop, RATTAWU has evolved beyond a professional union to become a platform that celebrates excellence, integrity and service, while fostering collaboration among media practitioners, cultural workers and development partners.

He stressed the importance of acknowledging philanthropists and humanitarian actors whose efforts often go unnoticed despite their contributions to education, peacebuilding, economic empowerment and support for vulnerable communities.

Reaffirming his commitment to human development and social welfare, Archbishop Nzekwesi pledged to continue supporting initiatives that improve the lives of Nigerians and promote a more compassionate and prosperous society.
