The House of Assembly aspirant for Ezinihitte LGA on the platform of Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Hon. Osondu C Nnorom has donated office and a cash of .N6m to the leadership of the party.
The handing over ceremony and the official opening of the LG party office was held along Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor Okpala Road, Oboama Ezinihitte LGA, opposite Union Bank, Oboama, where the donor, Hon. Nnorom handed the party office keys to the NDC National Vice Chairman, South East, Chief Teddy Obey and LG party Chairman, Stan Iheoma.
The ceremony saw all the party faithfuls, including the twelve Ward Chairmen, LG leaders and state representatives jubilating and thanking the donor, Hon. Nnorom for his kind gesture and in ensuring they have office to run the affairs of the party at the Local Government level.
Speaking on behalf of State Chairman, Barr. Reginald Uwakwe, the Owerri Zonal Chairman, Stanley Igbo expressed joy over the progress of the party in Ezinihitte through the donor, Hon. Nnorom.
He thanked him immensely for his magnanimity in building the party at the Local Government level, noting that the action of Nnorom proved he is credible and has the capacity to deliver NDC if he wins the primary election.
Continuing, the Owerri Zonal Chairman charged the party faithfuls that registration of members are ongoing and urged them to mobilized their family members, friends and youths to register with NDC.
Adding his voice, the LG Woman Leader, Ambassador Mary Ugorji, commended the donor for his magnanimity and large heart in ensuring the party at the LG level has a facelift.
She charged party members to rally round Hon. Nnorom and make sure he emerges candidate of the party in the forthcoming primary election. Ambassador Ugorji submitted that donor is a heavenly gift to party in Ezinihitte.
She assured the NDC faithfuls that all hand must be on deck and ensure that all the candidates of the party emerge victorious in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, adding that she has carried the message of the party to the grassroot level by making sure they participated at the ongoing NDC membership registration.
Speaking with journalists, Hon. Nnorom said that his aspiration was geared towards the development of Ezenihitte through robust and effective representation.
Hon. Nnorom promised his constituents that if elected, that he is going to use his power of legislation attract government infrastructure development in all the twelve LGA wards.
He assured the NDC faithfuls that he will be there for the people of his constituents irrespective of party affiliations.
The Obeama born politician assured the NDC members that if the party gave him mandate, he has the capacity and experience to deliver the LGA to NDC in the 2027 general elections.
