Family Of Murdered Twins In Ohaji/Egbema Appeals To Imo Govt, Police For Rescue

The family of Mr John Maduakolam in Ohaji /Egbema, Local Government Area of Imo State, has appealed to Imo State Government and the Nigeria Police Force to bring to justice the murderer of their twin sons, Izuchukwu and Ebube, who were gruesomely murdered by one Sixtus Chinenye Odinaka.
The family also begged the authority to rescue them from the hands of notorious activities of Sixtus and gang, who are threatening to wipe them out, and use money to close the case.
Narrating his ordeal in a press briefing held at the Diamond Hall of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Imo State Council. Mr John Maduakolam, who alleged that the suspect murdered his twin sons, said, “Sixtus Chinenye Odinaka started his early age with stealing, and at a later age recruited boys into cultism and nefarious attacks on individuals and oil companies, including oil theft in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Local Government Areas of Imo State.”
Mr Maduakolam further said that, “In one of the attacks, he shot a soldier based in an oil location in Ukwugba Egbema and the soldiers in a reprisal attack shot his brother Obinna Odinaka, who died, while Sixtus fled to South Africa,” he said.
The father of the murdered twins alleged that Sixtus returned to Nigeria when one former governor of Imo State granted him amnesty in a bid to use him.
He said that the notorious Sixtus went back to his usual criminal activities when the former governor left office, adding that he attacked individuals and oil companies.
Continuing, Mr Maduakolam said that on February 7, 2024, Sixtus Odinaka and Prince Alex Ukemezie went into hiding over a daylight gruesome murder of Egbebiri Bestmam, a native of Bayelsa who was based in Ukwugba, Obiakpu Egbema and went into hiding.
Maduakolam said, “On February 7, 2025, Sixtus Odinaka surfaced again and murdered his twin son, Izuchukwu Maduakolam Jacob (a.k.a) community.
He also said that the notorious Sixtus warned him to caution his second twin son, if not, he would use his head to drink Palm wine and use money to close the case.
He disclosed that the matter was reported to the police, and the police hunted for him; he evaded arrest and was declared wanted by the police and the court.
Maduakolam alleged that on September 12, 2025, at about 2. am, the notorious Sixtus and gang attacked his family and brutally murdered his second twin, Ebube Maduakolam Jacob and cut off his head and in the process killed his nephew, Opara Abacha and his wife Chinweudo who was severely butchered and was rushed to the hospital.
He said after the criminal operation, the alleged Sixtus went into hiding again, while police intelligence looking for him located him in Cross River State when he was about to cross into Cameroun.
Maduakolam said the DPO Egbema told him that Sixtus has been arrested and brought back to Imo State.
The family lauds the police for the good job they are doing in upholding justice and pleaded for protection from the hands of Sixtus and gang who are terrorising the family on daily basis, threatening to wipe them out.
