2027 In Focus: APC NEC Okays Sweeping Reforms To Fortify Party, Drive Renewed Hope Agenda
With the 2027 political horizon steadily coming into view, Nigeria’s ruling party is tightening its internal bolts to remain electorally formidable.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, 19 December 2025, held its 15th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, where it approved far-reaching resolutions aimed at strengthening party structures and sustaining the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The high-level meeting, attended by top party leaders and government officials, reviewed the state of the party nationwide and resolved to deepen internal cohesion, improve grassroots mobilisation and enhance coordination between elected officials and party organs.
NEC members emphasised the need for unity, discipline and loyalty to party ideals, noting that a stronger internal framework remains critical to delivering governance outcomes promised under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The meeting also reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to democratic principles, inclusive governance and effective policy implementation, positioning the party to consolidate its hold on power while responding to the socio-economic aspirations of Nigerians.
