The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched an investigation into a viral video showing its officers involved in an altercation with a driver along Abudu, Edo State, on Saturday, 25th October 2025.

Condemning the incident, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed expressed deep concern over the conduct captured in the footage, stressing that the FRSC does not tolerate any form of unprofessional behaviour or action capable of tarnishing its image.

He directed an immediate inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

Mohammed assured Nigerians that disciplinary measures would be taken against any officer found culpable, in accordance with the Corps’ operational standards and public service rules.

While appealing to motorists to remain calm and continue cooperating with FRSC officials, the Corps Marshal reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to maintaining professionalism and ensuring safer roads nationwide.

He, however, warned that the Corps would not condone any act of assault or violence against its personnel while on duty.
