Falana Demands Full Investigation Into Death Of Activist Abiodun Aremu
The sudden death of Comrade Abiodun Aremu, a respected activist and voice for justice, has sparked calls for accountability, as human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) urges the Ogun State Police Command to conduct a full-scale investigation into the incident.
Aremu was reportedly killed by a hit-and-run driver in Ota, Ogun State, leaving family, friends, and the human rights community in deep shock.
Falana described the tragedy as a painful loss to Nigeria’s struggle for democracy and workers’ rights, insisting that the circumstances surrounding his death must not be swept under the carpet.
He called on the Ogun State Commissioner of Police to ensure that justice is served by identifying and prosecuting the driver responsible, stressing that every life, especially that of a citizen who dedicated his years to fighting injustice, deserves protection and respect under the law.
